I'll commit the patches now after testing on x86-64 and i686 with both
gcc 3.3 and 3.4 CVS.  The testsuite passes now again with 3.4.

Only known problem with GCC 3.4 compiling glibc now is the following
(this occurs only with the inline math tests and only on i686):

/builds/glibc/gcc-3.4/math/libm-test.c: In function `main':
../sysdeps/i386/fpu/bits/mathinline.h:427: error: can't find a register in class `FP_TOP_REG' while reloading `asm'
../sysdeps/i386/fpu/bits/mathinline.h:427: error: can't find a register in class `FP_TOP_REG' while reloading `asm'
