I tested this patch, for the sizes and alignment most effected, on 630
(p170 400MHz), sStar (p620 600MHz), 970 (Apple G5 2GHz), and POWER4 (p630
1GHz). For the older processors (630 and sStar) performance was neutral to
a slight (5-10%) gain.
I am still working on memcpy improvements and will submit addition patches
as I verify the results.
