nptl/tst-cancel17

Hi

This has come up before[1] but so far I haven't seen any resolution. To
recap, these failures started showing up since kernel 2.6.11:

$ grep "\*\*\*" glibc.log
make[2]: *** [/temptools/src/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cancel17.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/temptools/src/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cancelx17.out] Error 1
make[1]: *** [nptl/tests] Error 2
make: *** [check] Error 2

I found a patch (attached) in the Suse srpm but wonder why it hasn't been
applied to Glibc cvs (maybe it's incorrect?).

Are the Glibc developers not seeing these failures?
Are the Glibc developers running kernels that don't trigger the failures?
Is this one of those Mexican standoffs that happens occasionally between the
Kernel and Glibc folks? :-)

Thanks for any comments.

Regards
Greg
