This rings a bell. I had a similar problem with StarOffice 4.0. Tracked it
down to a old libc5 ld.so hanging around. You might like to check your
libc5 vs. glibc2 installation. Or check the linux-kernel archives. I can't
recall correctly it was so long ago.
