Hi, On alpha I get with the current glibc 2.2 the following (with Linux 2.2.14 on Alpha EV6): /usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/elf/ld-linux.so.2 --library-path /usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/math:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/elf:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/dlfcn:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/nss:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/nis:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/rt:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/resolv:/usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/linuxthreads /usr/src/aj/build-glibc.2.2/math/test-double testing double (without inline functions) Failure: Test: asin (0.7) == 0.7753974966107530637 Result: Segmentation Fault Is this a compiler bug, a bug in the floating point routines of glibc or a kernel bug? Richard, what are your results for make check on alpha? Does it work for you without segmentation faults? Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger SuSE Labs aj@suse.de private aj@arthur.rhein-neckar.de
