You have too many changing pieces to accurately diagnose the problem.

It could be that your compiler has a bug that means it miscompiles
gtk+ or glibc.

There are a million different reasons.

You'll need to debug it to figure out what's wrong.

The more libraries you rebuild the more source debugging you can do
with debug information :-)

Good luck!

If you just want to get on with your life and hack as a hobby I
suggest a reinstall.
