Loading a new copy of the library with dlopen()

Subject: Loading a new copy of the library with dlopen()

I want to force load a new copy of an so when I call dlopen(). Is there a 
dlopen_force() or some such? Platform is CentOS 5.3 or later - both i686 and 
x86_64 architectures.
