Error in newlib/libc/string/memset.c ?

Hi,
to me, looks like the latest "optimization" to "memset.c" (revision 1.4)
breaks the build.
I get the error:
Line 106: 'd' undeclared (first use in this function)
revision 1.3 works fine on my machine. Could somone please verify this?
