i skipped  6, 7, 8   as they are optional.... i did have a oops, not
sure if was on the reboot or booting the new kernel for the first
time.. but a boot fixes it.

>      7)   change default= to the appropriate FC4 kernel

>      9)   su -c "/sbin/init 6" # reboot system

had to do step 14 and   elfultils-libelf-devel  by hand

it works much better than my previous attempts...
