In a game like log.g or modern.g this is about what happens. The mine
(farm, refinery, &c) is a unit with a base-production and then the
in-length and the out-length transfer it to the cities. This all does
show up in the help files but to be honest I often find it easier just
to browse the .g file.

Write some documentation ;-)?
I found xconq to be pretty confusing when I first started but as I got
to know it I became the typical open source user/developer: "but it
makes perfect sense once you understand it" ;-).
