Well, I find it addictive despite the rough edges here and there. If
you can find someone to play a networked game with, that's a plus
(although I'm pretty busy these days, hard to commit to it myself).

You probably can get around this by setting XCONQLIB to whereever the
lib directory is. I guess that's /usr/share/xconq in that RPM, or
something of the sort.
export XCONQLIB=/home/kingdon/work/xconq/lib

Probably you need to install the XFree86-devel-4.2.0-72 RPM from the
Red Hat distribution. I'm building from source on Red Hat Linux 8 and
I don't remember any big hassles in getting it to work.
