and the first rule of mailing lists and newsgroups is....
.... never believe anyone who posts untested solutions late at night,
they always retract in the morning.
I was of course entirely wrong in my assertion that
exclude-result-prefixes affects nodes copy-of'ed from the source tree.
I was going to send a `corrected' reply butI see Ken H has already
sent a clarification.
