Well, I dislike nntp-based newsgroups against e-mail-lists for a simple
reason: I download my private mail once or twice a day (about 300
messages, 1.5 MB a day, I'm in quite a few mailing lists ;-) ). Then I
have all I need to read. A newsgroup would be an additional source so
I'd have to download my mail *and* download the newsgroup. Yeah, I'm
lazy, I have to keep my reputation as a programmer! ;-)) Furthermore,
mailinglists are restricted to subscribers, spammers can be excluded
easily. Newsgroups are open for everyone...
However, I might try the newsgroup, but I would like an email-gateway
sending me all the new postings to the group. Suggestions?
Best regards,
