I'm using MSXML3 (which had MSXML3r and MSXML3a along with it)

Which version of MSXML are you using?
The xmlns:xsl of http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform will only work with
versions greater than the March preview release, I believe.
And IE 5.5 seems to come pre-loaded with a wierd version.
