Firstly, it's an error for <xsl:param> to have both a select attribute and
non-empty content.
Secondly, this is a global parameter, so the context node is the document
root, you are asking for an attribute of the root node, and root nodes do
not have attributes. Perhaps you meant an attribtue of the outermost
element, i.e. select="*/@execution_path"?
