Re: Is XSLT the right name?


The original draft included both transformations and formatting stylesheets,
hence XSL as the name.  It was later split in half due to time constraints (I
think), and the transformation part became XSL-Transformations (XSLT) and the
other part became XSL-Formatting (FO).  If we were designing the current
implementation from scratch, yeah, XTL would make more sense, but due to
history we have to do it in a weird way. :-)
