I shouldn't think that FO supports EPS directly (as it isn't an XML
format)...
However, the good news is that you can convert EPS images to SVG (which is
XML) using the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. It is then possible to
embed the resulting SVG data within an XML document and run it through a FO
processor. I have done this quite successfully using apache.org's FOP.
