After parsing an XSL file into a DOM with Xerces(1.4), Xalan-J (2.1.1)
errors out with: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: stylesheet
requires attribute: version.
At first, this appears to be the simple ommission of the version attribute
in the xsl:stylesheet, but I can guarantee that this element IS in fact in
the XSL.
When I simply read in the xsl from a file, Xalan works like a charm. It
appears that by first parsing the xsl into a DOM with Xerces, the parse does
something funny with it. I am completely stumped...I cannot avoid parsing
the xsl into a DOM, as I need to do some operations on it prior to the
tranformation.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated....someone must have tried
this before.
