If by that you mean they don't change their values once bound, then yes.

It depends how far down your html templates you need to go, and what you
are doing with them, if you are just copying html to the result then
that's just one template to make pick up and pass on the parameter
which matches anything in the xhtml namespace, then you just need to use
th eparam in those template for your trigger elements where you need it.
