adding borderline at pagebreaks

Hi!
I have to put a border around several text blocks seperating them all. If
one text block spans two pages no borderline is present. The best I tried so
far:
retrieve a marker containing a ruler/nothing by retrieve-position and
putting it in the footer.
The problem is that the border does not touch the footer when there is space
left between the last line on page 1 and the footer.
An attribute that tells a border to appear at page breaks as well would be
nice... Does anybody know a workaround?
