I think No  and never is a little harsh -- afterall,
acrobat reader IS a pdf renderer engine -- if Alastair
ran his transformation as a dynamic server side
transformation to pdf, then
wouldn't the display of the resultant text in the
reader plug in be pretty much what Alastair asked for
in the first place?
