To more fully answer your question I strongly recommend this article: http://skew.org/xml/tutorial/ You'll quickly see why the "Symbol" font is not your solution. I've also found Unipad a very handy tool. You can get it at www.unipad.org. Using it, you'll see that the Unicode for the Greek capital Lamda character is Λ in hex format. But first, go to the skew tutorial. best regards, Charles White The Tumeric Partnership http://www.tumeric.net chuck@tumeric.net ________________________________________ Author, Mastering XSLT Sybex Books, May, 2002 Co-Author, Mastering XML, Premium Edition Sybex Books, May, 2001 http://www.javertising.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matts Isuls" <matts.isuls@AGROLINK.FI> To: <xsl-list@lists.mulberrytech.com> Sent: Monday, June 03, 2002 4:29 AM Subject: [xsl] lambda character > Hi > > Is there any other way of displaying the lambda character other than: > > <span style="font-family: Symbol">l</span> > > And this only works in IE, not in Netscape (6.2.1).
