xml file
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<test>test worked</test>

xslt file
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>
 <xsl:template match="/"><xsl:value-of select="test"/></xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

cheers, jim fuller

Thanks!

I am embarrassed to report that it still didn't work. Is is possible that you omitted the stylesheet tag from the XML file?

I added it and tried

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xml" href="style.xsl"?>
<test>test worked</test>

with your style sheet - still didn't work!
I tried it both locally and on my server - to no avail!

That's strange since I tried the test file at www.mozilla.org and it worked.

If it's a bug in mozilla then I am not married to mozilla, I was just looking for a way to get started with XSL (on a Mac) and Mozilla seemed like an easy way. Maybe I should try something else?

Ingo
