This is a javascript error. Replace only replaces the first occurance of it.
Try this instead:
..
var htmloutput = newxmlDoc.transformNode(newxslDoc)
var re = /</ //reg expression to look for
while( htmloutput.search( re ) != -1 )
htmloutput = htmloutput.replace( re, "<");
document.write(htmloutput);
...

Subject: [xsl] find and replace in javascript with XMLDOM object
Hello,
Hopefully this will be a very simple answer. I have a
javascript that takes an XML and an XSL document and
transforms them into a variable.
var htmloutput = newxmlDoc.transformNode(newxslDoc)
that done, I want to search the htmloutput variable
for a string and replace:
var htmlout = htmloutput.replace(/</, "<");
document.write(htmlout);
this works, but only for the first line... how can I
find and replace *every* occurrence?
Bryan
