I don't know, I recently saw some benchmarks for xalan(c++ version)
running against large(10+ mb) xml files and it performed worst out of
the processors involved, msxml performed best(can't remember where I
read this). I suppose one reason for datapower's product would be that
it handles large xml files quickly, in that context and if xalan indeed
does perform poorly against large files it does not seem to be a good
comparison.

Okay well I feel rather like a caveman presented with a starship, please
explain it's usefulness - without resorting to words or phrases like
"business logic", "drive revenues" etc. words like queuing, throughput
etc. would be good if combined with some numerical values; I've read the
datasheet can you clarify the point here

"high speed xsl/xml processor
Protocols: full compliance with W3C specifications:
 XSL 1.0 XSLT 1.0 XPath 1.0
"
I'm sure you didn't write this, I'm having some difficulty understanding
what the XSL 1.0 means in this context, does this mean that XSL-FO(I'm
gonna go with the nickname so as not to confuse matters) is understood
as a specific format aside from its existence as xml? Is there an xsl-fo
processor? Probably not, I just found it a weird statement. This kind of
question also crops up in relation to other aspects of then support for
essential protocols etc. specifically the support for web services area,
but that would be getting off-topic so perhaps if you could just go into
the subjects of XSL 1.0 XSLT 1.0 XPath 1.0 and discuss some aspects
of XA35's superiority, does it support extensions etc.

If that's cool.
