Hallo,
running kbd-est-3 without xmodmap gives following results:
CONTROL_L is gone
Caps Lock is on
SHIFT_L toggles between upper and lower case letters
Maybe this is a result of a missing .xmodmaprc
Could you provide such a file on your web site ?
