Can't open display

Harold,

Here is the line I am using in startxwin. I also tried
replacing Xwin with Xwin95 but had the same result

if "%OS%" == "Windows_NT" start /B XWin -engine 1
-screen 0 1024x768x16

The result from running startxwin with the command
above. I have very high screen rez. 1400x1050 (an IBM
T21 laptop)

startxwin

With the xserver up I try and run xterm and get the
following. I can move the X cursor around the screen
no problem and I see a window with the Cygwin/XFree86
name and it looks like it is filled with a black and
white checker board pattern.

C:\cygwin\usr\X11R6\bin>xterm

Could it be a port issue in my \winnt\system32\drivers
\etc\services file? What port does X connect on?

Kevin
