RE: "Cannot open display" or XDMCP problem ?


The -query and -indirect option seems is not functioning in the XWIN.exe of the xwin32.  Either passing hostname or IP address will return host not found error.

installation problems should go to win32-x11 list.

anyway, you should unzip and untar in <drive_leter>:\xwin32
and edit xwin32\bin\startx.bat per your install path.  remove xterma nd xfce
whatever else you
do not have.

The only dialogue box you should see at startup PEX5 font is not installed
which is a warning and you can ignore it bu clicking on OK button.
Anything other errors are due to the factyou insatlled it in some directory
other then \xwin32 and rgb etc files cannot be located
