It works overhere (NT 4.0 SP3) in 16bit and 32bit, not in 8bit and 24bit. Good
work !
First I thought the X in a window didn't work but this was because I set my
display depth to 24bit so that the X server also automatically switched to
that depth.

For every tool there are at least 2 uses: the one it was designed for
and the other for which it wasn't.
