Thanks for the pointer. After this, I checked my win98 color settings. It 
was set to 8 bit color. I was getting stackdump when I tried to start XWin 
in 16 bit color (while win98 was in 8 bit color). When I corrected my win98 
to 16 bit color, it started working fine in windowed mode.

BTW, XDMCP error on win95 is still there.
