Hi,

I don't know the answer to this. All I can say is that configure scripts
run better without the IO redirection. 

Thus, try:

make World

without the IO redirection. Let us know because I want to compile xfree 4.10.
I compiled xfree 4.03 successfully and I am not ready to screw up my good X
build.
