- Subject: Cygwin internal error whilst using GnuPG
I haven't used "gpg --recv-key" for a couple of Cygwin DLL versions, but
when I tried recently, it failed in a rather odd way:
$ gpg --recv-key 0xc0f2c580
2 [main] gpg 1328 fixup_mmaps_after_fork: WARNING: VirtualProtectEx to
return to previous state in parent failed for MAP_PRIVATE address 0xC00000,
Win32 error 87
444 [main] gpg 1328 fixup_mmaps_after_fork: WARNING: VirtualProtect to
copy protection to child failed forMAP_PRIVATE address 0xC00000, Win32 error
87
10280 [main] gpg 1328 fixup_mmaps_after_fork: ReadProcessMemory (2nd try)
failed for MAP_PRIVATE address 0xC00000, Win32 error 87
M:\cygwin\bin\gpg.exe (1328): *** recreate_mmaps_after_fork_failed
3 [main] gpg 1628 fork_parent: child 1328 died waiting for dll loading
gpg: keyserver communications error: general error
gpg: keyserver receive failed: general error
Versions:
cygwin 1.5.16-1
gnupg 1.4.0-2
Win32 error 87 = "The parameter is incorrect."
