Strange behaviour of windres under cygwin....

Hi,

I'm banging my head about following problem:

ls -l /cygdrive/c/MATLAB~1/extern/include/mexversion.rc
gives:
-rwxr--r--+ 1 robert None 862 Dec 2 1998 /cygdrive/c/MATLAB~1/extern/include/mexversion.rc

and

windres -o mexversion.res cygdrive/c/MATLAB~1/extern/include/mexversion.rc -O coff
gives:

Using `gcc -E -xc -DRC_INVOKED c:/MATLAB6p1/extern/include/mexversion.rc'
Using popen to read preprocessor output
windres: no resources

If I try separately run gcc :
gcc -E -xc -DRC_INVOKED c:/MATLAB6p1/extern/include/mexversion.rc
gives:

# 1 "c:/MATLAB6p1/extern/include/mexversion.rc"
# 1 "<built-in>"
# 1 "<command line>"
# 1 "c:/MATLAB6p1/extern/include/mexversion.rc"
# 21 "c:/MATLAB6p1/extern/include/mexversion.rc"
STRINGTABLE
BEGIN

100, "MATLAB R11 native"

101, "not inlined"

END

-------------------------------------------------------------------
What is wrong ?

Thanks in advance,

regards,

Rob.
