Hm, the cygwin I installed was the complete distribution off a cygwin mirror
as of 5 Dec. It has the fixed readline mentioned (readline and
libreadline6, 5.2-3), so it apparently isn't that problem.
I'm installing the lastest bash release of this week on Monday, 11 Dec, and
will report results.
