You're probably using a filesystem, like FAT32, which doesn't support
setting permissions but sending the information as listed in the above
would probably allow us to know for sure.

OK, your home is on Z:. Please read the description of 'smbntsec' at:

and set your "CYGWIN" environment variable appropriately.
