Re: Eliminating dead keys under X

HallÃchen!

I use X applications that run on a remote Linux server on my local
Windows system. I use PuTTY and Cygwin's X server for this.
Unfortunately, ~, ', ` etc are dead keys in this configuration. How
can I change this?

This sounds like an X question to me, so it's off-topic for this list. It also sounds like it's not Cygwin-specific, in which case it's off- topic for all Cygwin lists. If there is actually something Cygwin- specific about this issue, then the proper place to redirect your question would be the Cygwin X list at cygwin-xfree at cygwin dot com. Otherwise, you should address this to general X forums, after consulting their FAQs and documentation.
