That's not very helpful, unfortunately.  I'm testing this stuff in
parallel on four different machines running three different OS versions,
on 32 and 64 bit machines, and I can't reproduce any crash, now that I
fixed my braindead type in the debug output statement.

I need *details*.

Stackdumps, straces, GDB session results, ... patches.
