I have tried the snapshot dated 2014-03-20, and I can confirm that all of the following commands work perfectly:
cp ding.wav /dev/dsp cat ding.wav > /dev/dsp AUDIODRIVER=ao play ding.wav Many thanks for all your work in fixing these.
