Re: Does shared memory support work on cyg64?

When I run the Xwin server, it says shared memory isn't available.

I thought running the cygserver took care of this?

Does this not work on cyg64?

Besides the Xwin server, When I try initialize pulseaudio, it
tries to use shared memory as well, but fails to load (no reason
why -- just fails)... tried setting --log-level==debug, but
couldn't find the output anywhere...(nothing in var/log...)

I have it running as system:
UID PID PPID TTY STIME COMMAND
...
   SYSTEM 8996 7516 ? 01:54:27 /usr/bin/dbus-daemon
Bliss\la 1184 7632 cons1 02:53:19 /usr/bin/ps
Bliss\la 3004 1 cons2 01:44:31 /usr/bin/bash
   SYSTEM 7516 1 ? 01:54:27 /usr/bin/cygrunsrv
Bliss\la 4316 1 ? 01:44:48 /prog64/vim/gvim

-- but my Xstartup log claims not to see it:

for my test, it works
of course you need to put care to avoid collision between
32 bit and 64 bit if you have both installed.

testing on 64bit Xwin with cygserver running I see

[ 13438.222] Initializing built-in extension MIT-SHM
