The fish package has been updated in the Cygwin distribution. Changes in
this release:
* Set BROWSER to cygstart. This allows the fish_config command to open its
page in the default browser in Windows. For most users I think this is
going to be the sensible default, but if you prefer to use an X11 browser,
you can change the value of BROWSER in /etc/fish/config.fish or
~/.config/fish/config.fish.
* Update /etc/fish/config.fish on package updates only if it hasn't been
manually changed.
fish is the friendly interactive shell. It's a Unix shell that focuses on
interactive use, discoverability, and user friendliness. The design goal of
fish is to give the user a rich set of powerful features in a way that is
easy to discover, remember, and use.
