A new release of fish is available in the Cygwin distribution. fish 2.3.0-1 is
a test release. It replaces the previous test release, 2.3b1-1. Version 2.2.0-3
is still the current release for now.
fish 2.3 has significant changes since fish 2.2, including some
backwards-incompatible changes. Please see the list at
http://fishshell.com/release_notes.html.
Please try it out, and report any problems you find to this list. If no
problems are reported in a week or so, I'll promote 2.3.0 to current.
fish is the friendly interactive shell. It's a Unix shell that focuses on
interactive use, discoverability, and user friendliness. The design goal of fish
is to give the user a rich set of powerful features in a way that is easy to
discover, remember, and use.
