A good point. But our OS abstraction layer predates our work with eCos, and
previous systems that we have used didn't support Posix and uITRON. Also, as
I mentioned, we can add extra functionality as we require it in a consistent
manner.
And that makes me wonder...are there a lot of folks out there developing
with the Posix and uITRON flavours of eCos? There doesn't seem to be a lot
of discussion on this list about such matters.
